Volterra conducts training on biochar and composting
As part of the LIFE MycoRestore project, a course on sustainable forest management has been held in Tavertet, which concluded with a training, carried out by Volterra, in the production of biochar and compost.
In addition to transmitting theoretical information on the benefits of these products and how to obtain them, a practical demonstration of the process of burning forest pruning residues in a Kon-Tiki oven to obtain biochar was carried out.
The course thus concludes by showing students circular economic models where waste is used to create high value products.
