Life Terra launches Carbon Removal Credits with ASES

Life Terra is working with ASES to certify several plantation projects to issue carbon sequestration credits, using the ASES On-Chain Protocol developed by ASES.

Tree planting is the most cost-effective nature-based method for extracting carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and securely storing it for decades, even centuries. The carbon dioxide removal carried out by trees has the potential to slow down, limit, or possibly reverse climate change.

Life Terra's carbon capture credits offer several additional benefits:

Reforestation and restoration of degraded lands:

Life Terra’s carbon removal credits stem from our reforestation efforts in Europe. We plant a mix of native tree species, supporting natural regeneration and promoting the holistic restoration of ecosystems.

Support for rural development:

We share the benefits with the local landowners where the planting takes place, promoting the development of rural communities and ensuring the long-term maintenance of the plantations.

Transparency:

We plant in Europe, where reporting protocols are stricter, and the planting sites can often be visited for monitoring purposes. We have developed an online platform where we record all the trees planted and provide information on location, species, and estimated CO2 capture.

These credits will soon be available for companies wishing to acquire them to offset their CO2 emissions and contribute to the fight against climate change.
